The Monster Turbines are a set of in-ears from the popular cabling company. The Turbines feature an interesting design, which is hard to pull off on such a small piece of plastic. We thought that the Turbines were comfortable, but they tended to come loose very easily. Also, since there isn't a cord guard at the plug, if you're planning to use the Turbines with a media player in your pocket, you should tape up the end of the end of the plug to stave off premature wear and tear.
For a set of in-ears, the Turbines had better than average audio quality, but only average isolation and leakage. They also suffered from more distortion than we typically see. Overall, they were good, but not great.
The Turbines have a retail price of $150, which is appropriate. They have the poor position, however, of being in the same price range and several other, better headphones. Their aesthetic appeal is one of the better reasons to buy them, because if you're looking for isolation or audio quality, there are a few better options.
