Over in Wales, headphones are helping "disco-goers" (read: ravers) dance their lives away, despite noies abatement orders. The event, Silent Disco, will involve everyone getting a pair of headphones, which they can use to tune into one of two live DJs. This will allow patrons to sweat MDMA all night long without waking the neighbors.
First of all, this is an awesome solution to their noise problem. Secondly, how insanely awkward would this look from an outsider's perspective? It'd just be a giant moving blob of glo-sticks and pacifiers without any music to justify the undulations. Seeing the odd individual silently rocking out in public is awkward enough, but a warehouse full of them? We think we'll pass; the bottled water is too expensive anyway. |
