New dynamic driver design
Comfortable long and short-term usage
Less polished than competition
Frequency response was disappointing
Introduction
The Beyerdynamic T 70s are the first of many headphones in the new Tesla line that we’ve been able to review. For those of you who haven’t read the press releases about this line of headphones, though they do technically have dynamic drivers like everything else we’ve reviewed here, they have drastically redesigned drivers that use an absurdly strong magnetic field to lighten up the voice coils to reproduce more accurate sound. While the Beyerdynamic T 70s certainly are impressive in that regard, the T 70s do show their rough edges a bit in a couple areas. It may be a while before the Tesla line is as polished as Beyerdynamic’s older models are, but it’s certainly worth a listen, if you can justify the high pricetag.

The Sennheiser CX 680i in-ear headphones are a decent set of lower-mid-range headphones with a remote & mic. They don't have the best quality and they're not quite as rugged as we would've expected from a set of in-ears aimed at the gym crew, but they're a great value at $100. Read full 13-part review
