Introduction   Beyerdynamic recently rereleased a bunch of headphones under their MANUFAKTUR program, which allows you to tweak the headphones' coloration, impedance, cord style, and other features. The DT 990s were one set of headphones that got this rerelease. The DT 990s were great headphones that had above average audio quality, but suffered from some significant fit issues. The DT 990s can currently be purchased for about $350.     Page 1 of 12 Tour & Design   Section The Good The Bad Tour & Design • Durable, MANUFAKTUR lets you tweak colors before you buy. • N/A Sound Quality • Above average frequency response, great distortion control. • N/A Isolation • Open backs provide an open soundscape.   • Open backs mean these things won't isolate at all. Comfort • They're comfortable for short-term use. • Once you wear these for a few hours they get very uncomfortable. Usability • Long cord. • Not portable. Conclusion • Aesthetic options, good audio quality. • Fit issues are significant, cost more than they should.
